A little slow on blogging... but he's growing soooo fast!

For those of you who have missed his pictures... here is a recap:

4 months:
At his 4 month check up he weighed 15 lbs and was 24 1/2" tall. He was laughing, rolling over, loved his music, and was starting to sleep for very long stretches (yea!). Logan and I traveled to Fort Worth so I could go to my friend Melanie's wedding. Tony had to work, so he stayed here in Abilene. My grandparents and cousins got to keep Logan and I'm not sure who had more fun. There were three people giving him a bath, and two taking pictures/video taping. This was also the first time someone other than me or Tony had put him to bed. That was very hard for me... but Logan did just fine (after about an hour of everyone taking turns holding him :) ).
5 months:
No doctor's appointment this month! He is moving all over the place. He is the fastest roller I have ever seen. He even got his first kiss. Our friend Katie who keeps him said he reached out his arms, grabbed Maggie's face (her little girl who is a month older than Logan) and kissed her on the cheek. We started him on cereal this month.. and on the third try we had success. He also eats soooo fast! He's a hungry boy! We had a lot of trips this month, inclduing a trip to Austin for my nephew Cameron's 2nd birthday! It was a quick trip, but we had a blast. He is loving to stand, scooting all over the place, and loves to grab on to your face when you are holding him (it is really sweet, but he has quite a grip)! On May 21st Tony and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Our sweet friends Marissa and Caleb kept Logan while we enjoyed dinner and a movie. Marissa ended up having to work late, so Caleb had him the first part of the night by himself. We were very proud of him (Caleb), and he even changed his first diaper! We are so blessed to have such great friends who love our little guy so much. This was also the second time someone else bathed him and put him to bed, and he did much better this time!

6 months:
At his check up he weighed 17lb 6oz and 26" tall. He was in the 50th percentile in height and weight and 90% in head :) We think it must be all of those brains he has. We had fun in the waiting room... EVERYONE kept telling me he is the happiest baby they have ever seen. I love that!! But, it's so true. He is so incredibly happy. He is smiling and laughing all the time. He loves life! He is now eating baby food, I've been making it for him- which I love doing, and it actually tastes pretty great! He LOVES to stand up! He wants you to hold his hands so he can that all day long! He is starting to pull him self up and now sits without "tumping over" (as my grandma calls it) as much. He doesn't like to sit for long, he is a busy boy. He gives the best hugs. He still grabs onto your face, and has now moved on to pulling hair and well, forget wearing jewelry. He is also starting to get pretty clingy. He does not like it when you leave the room or he can't see you. He has never cried when I have dropped him off though anywhere- not the nurseryat church, Katie's, or Scott and Cindy's. I am not ready for it though when he does! He is the best napper. You can normally put him down and he goes to right to sleep. Bedtime is a little more of a challenge, but he is doing much better. He had his first trip to the swimming pool this month. We went to my parent's house for Memorial Day weekend and he loved it. He is definitely going to be a little fish. Since then he has gone to Abilene Swim Club with his Grandma Hay a few times, and I know he will be very familiar with that place by the end of the summer. He has a blast every time.

SUMMERTIME! Yea for summer and for family and friends who don't have to work as much! I know Cindy is enjoying being able to spend more time with him and pick him up from Katie's early and take him to the pool. We look forward to many visits from my parents and sister, and hopefully Tony's brothers as well (I miss my sister-in-laws!). We are planning a trip to CO in July and I am sure we will spend a lot of time at the lake house in Brownwood as well. I still won't let Logan get on the boat, but it is very relaxing out there and he enjoys just being outside! Other than that, Tony and I are both still working and enjoying the summer with Logan when we are off. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse comes out June 30th and I am going to see it with a group of girls. I can't wait!

I am determine to keep this updated more often. Logan will be 7 months in a few days, so hopefully I can start then!

3 months old!

So on February 24th, my little man turned 3 months old. I can't believe it. It has been a big month for us, as I had to go back to work. :( It has been really hard, but it has gotten a little easier as the days go by. It does help that I absolutely love my job, but there is no where I would rather be than at home with my guys. Our sweet friend Katie has been keeping him when Tony and I are both at work. It does make it a lot easier leaving him with a dear friend who I know loves him very much.
We had fun having everyone in town for Logan's baby dedication and Tony's baptism. I will post about that later and add some pics as soon as I get them.

Here is what Logan has been up to this month:
Still loves his bouncer and gym, Really likes his rainforest- thanks Grandma Mikk, Loves to sit in your lap facing out-he wants to look all around-the snuggle time is getting less and less :( , he talks and makes noise more than any baby I have ever seen..... he is seriously always making sweet sounds and loves to talk back and forth with you, he learned to kick and splash in his bathtub which makes for a fun and WET time for mom, starting to drool-please not yet teeth!, frequents the church nursery-this was a big step for mom, tummy time is difficult because he still rolls over to his back half the time, he has grown out of most of his 3 month clothes, he went to the zoo and park for the first time with his Aunt Jamie, Uncle TJ, and cousin Cameron, and drum roll please..... has for the past two nights slept from 9-4!!! - I hope this continues, but would really love it if he would stay up one more hour and wake up at 5 instead... I will take it though!

I can't tell you just how blessed Tony and I feel. We love that little guy so much and are enjoying every single day with him. Each day holds something new and special. He is always amazing us!

2 Months old!

2 months old!!! I can't believe it! Of course I'm late with this, and he will already be ten weeks tomorrow. He up growing so fast! This month I celebrated my 28th birthday, leaving Logan with Tony's parents for the first time. Of course I chose to eat at Chili's, not because it's my favorite, but because it is like 1 minute away from their house. :) We were only gone for about an hour and a half, but it was still really hard. We continue to have many visitors and love for Logan to get to meet all of our friends and family. Logan and I took our first solo trip to Fort Worth with much success. We got to spend a lot of time with my family and I even left him with my mom and grandparents so I could go to a baby shower. Logan was so sweet that whole weekend and did really great when we traveled. We had so much fun but we both missed his Daddy.

Here is what he has been up to:
-he is making all sorts of sweet noises, he has laughed a few times, continues to love his bouncer and gym, LOVES his music, is loosing his hair (he looks like an old man with it being really thick and dark on the back of his head), holds his head up on his own (most of the time), is constantly kicking and moving his arms, went to church for the first time, outgrew all of his newborn clothes :( , went to his first restaurant- he also got to go to his Mommy's favorite restaurant Joe T Garcia's, he is sleeping better through the night (will normally sleep from 9/10pm- 2/3am and then wakes up again at about 6:30am), takes one bottle either every day or every other day

His stats from his two month check-up:
12 lb 6 oz
23 1/4"
75% in height, weight, and head circumference - our big boy!

Here are his two month pictures:

Constantly moving those arms and legs
I think this is hillarious...
Starting to grin at me...
Big smile...

1st Christmas

Our first Christmas as a family of three! In a lot of ways it was Tony and I's first Christmas too! It was the first year that Tony and I were both off of work since we have been married. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with the Hay family in Abilene... we even had a White Christmas (eve). The candlelight service was cancelled at church due to weather, so we just enjoyed some time together at the house. It was so fun seeing our niece Callie really get into things this year! We had a blast! Tony, Logan, and I spent Christmas morning together which was really special. We then headed to Cove for Christmas with my family (the Camerons, Turners, and Williams). Logan's first road trip! (which went suprisingly well) That can be summed up with "fun on the farm". Logan and my nephew Cameron got a miniature pony from my parents for Christmas... yes, a real one. Everyone had fun riding horses, watching Cameron play on his new tractor, and snuggling with Logan. Tony ended up getting strep throat so Logan and I stayed a few extra days with my parents and rang in the New Year. We also got to spend some extra time with Jamie and Cameron! Overall, we just had a very blessed time. We are very thankful for our families and feel very fortunate to be able to spend the holidays with them. We just wish everyone lived closer and we could do this more often. 2009 was full of MANY blessings for us. We look forward to what God has planned for our family in 2010!

Our growing family

Happy New Year! (My Mom, Dad, and I toasted at 9:00!)

One Month!

This first month has flown by!!! I can't believe he is already a month old. Christmas Eve was his one month birthday :) We have had so much fun! I am still enjoying being home with him and wouldn't trade this time for anything. So far, he smiles, coos, loves his bouncer and gym, checks out lights and ceiling fans, snuggles, and even rolls over (from his tummy to his back). He sleeps pretty well at night and is getting better at naps during the day. Our friend Joseph took pictures of him and our family and will post those as soon as we get them. We have enjoyed spending time with family over the holidays and had many visits from friends to meet out little guy. Maverick is adjusting well, but sometimes just stares and him trying to figure things out. His Aunt Lacy has been documenting our niece growing up with monthly pictures, and for Christmas she made me signs to take Logan's picture with. I am very thankful for her artisitc abilities and great ideas. So here it goes...

Aunt Kylee (I uploaded this one by accident and couldn't delete it... that is why it is randomly with his one month pictures, but we love Aunt Kylee, so it works!)
Taking a pacifier break :) Pretty content...

I love the hat... Tony does not!

Sweet boy...

It only took me two weeks to post this even though I tried several times. I am still adjusting to getting things done with a boy who is always hungry. :) Thankfully I got it up before he was two months old!
